Yeah this place is good. A bit on expensive side for a Yakitori place but definitely tastes good, offers variety and variance. Should try once. But I would also say this place is more trying to be Oshare おしゃれ than be a Yakitori restaurant. I would rather have Yakitori at a Yakitori focussed restaurant which is focussed on Yakitori itself than the stylishness of the place or food offered. I know several such places. Anyways, including the costliness of the place including drinks, I would rather choose elsewhere. I noticed that there were mainly couples here on date... Seemed like dating spot where guy would try to impress the girl than focus on the food.

The food for the price is a bit contentious. The service, however, was immaculate as was the general atmosphere.

Pretty good food but a little expensive. All this food plus one alcoholic drink and one non-alcoholic drink cost 8000 yen for me. I’d definitely go again but I’m not sure it would be my top choice. I think I know other yakitori places that are cheaper. Iguchi-san was a total charmer and a pleasure to talk to though.

中目黒駅近くの路地裏にひっそり佇む「いぐち 本店」は、洗練された雰囲気の中で本格的な焼鳥を堪能できる人気店。カウンター席中心の落ち着いた空間で、一本一本丁寧に焼き上げられた焼鳥はどれも香ばしく、素材の旨味がしっかり感じられます。特にレバーやつくねは絶品で、ワインや日本酒との相性も抜群。コース構成もバランスがよく、最後まで飽きずに楽しめます。スタッフの接客も丁寧で心地よく、大人のデートや会食にぴったりの隠れ家的名店です。

友人と2人で中目黒にある「いぐち本店」に伺い、お任せコースをいただきました。店の入り口には看板がなく、隠れ家のような雰囲気に少し緊張しながら扉を開けると、シンプルで洗練されたカウンター席のみの空間が広がっていました。落ち着いた照明と上品な設えが、大人のための特別な時間を演出しているようでした。 料理はどれも完成度が高く、一皿一皿に職人の技が光ります。最初に提供された小鉢は繊細な味わいで、素材の旨味が引き立つ丁寧な仕上がり。串焼きは一本一本が絶妙な火入れで、ジューシーな肉の旨味が口の中に広がります。さらに、サクッと軽やかな衣をまとった天ぷらは、噛むたびに素材の美味しさが感じられる逸品でした。 見た目にも美しく、五感で楽しめる料理の数々に、終始感動しっぱなしの贅沢な時間でした。大切な人とゆっくり味わいたい、特別な日のための名店だと思います。
